Christmas Shopping for the Kids of Woodfield Center

Woodfield Center is a facility of Lutheran Social Services that is for children that have been abused, neglected, or have some other difficulties in their lives. Each year before Christmas, the Center holds a huge Christmas party for the children. At the party they are given gifts. Many children are unable to return home for the holidays for safety reasons. And many come from families that are unable to provide for the children due to poverty or other problems. Consequently, the Luther League went to Wal-Mart and bought over $800.00 worth of gifts for the Center to give to the children and to use as needed. In December the League went to the Center to deliver the gifts, meet the kids, and have a tour of the facility.
